THE LIST : DIRTYBOY's 10 Easy Ways to get Blog Traffic

So after sifting through blogger Seth Godin's list of ways to get traffic to one's blog, I decided to edit together a much more do-able (sorry Seth), immediate results, kinda list. Some are funny and some I don't agree with but all executable from the comfort of your pile of dirty laundry. Here they are:

1. Learn enough to become the expert in your field.
2. Break news and re-link old posts in your new ones, like this.
3. Write stuff that people want to read and share. Don't write about your cat, boyfriend or your kids. Yawn.
4. Don't be boring. Write about obscure stuff that appeals to an obsessed minority.
5. Write in English, better yet write in Chinese.
6. Don't promote yourself at the expense of the reader's attention.
   
7. Post on weekdays because there are more readers. Post on weekends because there are fewer new posts.
8. Write about other blogs, bloggers and blogging.
9. Be snarky. Be patient.
10. Use lists.
